Stock Price Charts

where can I see stock charts showing open puts and calls?

I know how to find the google finance charts for stocks which show graphs that depict the current stock prices but the charts don't show the going rates for puts and calls on any stocks at all. I would like to be able to view option charts with different strike prices and associate call and put rates for different months. They don't necessarily have to be live. They can be delayed 15 minutes as I just want to study them. I believe yahoo has a subcription that might provide those? Not sure just checking all options and what people generally prefer.

  1. For that, you will need a feed to the floor. You have to pay for floor feed. You have to pay a LOT for floor feed. Unless you are an extremely active trader that performs massive trade volume, floor feed is not necessary.
  2. Go to yahoo finance or the CBOE websites. Also, go to some educational sites on options. Try www.safe-options-trading-income.com
  3. You will not find charts on options for free, especially intraday. But you can get option data at yahoo finance for free http://finance.yahoo.com/q/op?s=GE Icidentally, I'm not sure what the other answerer is talking about when he says you need a "floor feed" to get quotes. Most people that get intraday data pay about $100/month for their data feed, whether stocks, futures, or forex, and would include option prices if it's a stock data feed. There is a small exchange fee less than $5 paid to each floor operation. If you want open interest on options, that's reported here: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/op?s=IBM If you want to chart option prices, you'll have to pay for the data, or obtain historical data and update it yourself. I can send you historical data on options if you will send me your email address and tell me what time frame, whether daily, hourly, 30 minute, etc.
