How do I check how much i've made from a stock share?

My dad got me 1 share of stock from coach for christmas a couple years ago. I have a certificate and stuff but i have NO idea how to check to see where i'm at. Is there a certain website i can go to that would tell me how much i've made or not???

1. Just go to finance.yahoo.com and you can look up Coach. Coach's ticker symbol is COH (a ticker symbol is the 3-5 letter code used to look up a stock on finance sites.) It currently trades for $43.03/share and has split three times since 2002 (so you could have 1,2,4 or 8 shares depending on exactly when your father bought it.) If you don't know what he purchased it for, you can look up the company's historical prices on the website.
2. You can go to yahoo.com and punch in the code of your stock. Divide the current price with the purchase price of your stock. Then take the natural log (ln). That's your return. Don't forget to check if you've got any dividend during the interim.
