Stock Share?

I am looking to buy a single share of stock for a graduation gift. I have seen the sites but the company that i am looking for is not offered on any of them. Does anyone know how I can purchase just one share stock other than through those websites? And would it still have the certificate?

1. Nobody issues certificates anymore. The site you're referring to specializes in crappy stock deals just so you can get a piece of paper. For the same price, you could buy a decent cheap printer and make your own. Or for a lot less, you could buy a share for what it's actually trading at and print out a confirmation. Now that would look great on your wall! Really, though, if you're into tangible, stocks aren't it, even less than they used to be. Why not get a 1/10 oz. gold or silver coin or something?
2. The buying of share of stock cannot be made from the issuing company any time at your discretion. The company sells its share of stocks only when it requires finances for its business. There are some companies in the developing countries of the world who are still issuing stock certificates, you can buy those certificates after meeting their regulatory requirements. Still those certificates represent a lot of shares normally 500. The best option for you is just to make a false share certificate if you want to use it just for show-off purpose.
3. The Mustang Ranch was selling shares that people were framing for the novelty. Mustang Ranch in Nevada went public as a legal house of prostitution. Think you could find it using yahoo Search. It would be a funny gift for a male graduate.
